Partner & Head Chef, Chef’s Table by the Ganges
Chef Mukesh brings over 15 years of global culinary mastery to the banks of the Ganges. Born in a small village near Lansdowne, Uttarakhand, he trained at the Institute of Hotel Management Studies, Kotdwara, then worked his way through India’s finest kitchens, from Barbeque Nation and Radisson to Taj Vivanta, before crossing continents to lead European kitchens in Poland for more than 8 years.
Certified in Italian culinary arts and a recognised competitor on Poland’s national culinary stage, he now brings that world-class expertise back home. At Chef’s Table by the Ganges he blends European fine-dining technique with the soulful flavours of Uttarakhand, creating a menu that is as global as it is rooted.
Every stop on this road shaped the food now served by the Ganges.

In Europe, Chef Mukesh worked alongside some of the continent’s most celebrated chefs, including the legendary Chef Kurt Scheller, Korean cuisine specialist Chef Inessa Kim of KIM T&V, and molecular gastronomy chef Marek Kropielnicki. Their lessons live on in every plate he sends out.
When the burners are off, Chef Mukesh is a traveller, a lover of the mountains he grew up in, and a quiet writer of poetry. That same heart goes into the food.
